Clubbing2015 - GRAND CAYMAN!

Start making your plans now...Clubbing2015 will be held in the heart of the Caribbean, Grand Cayman!

Aided by a blindfolded John Alana, who was selected as the attendee spokesperson, Grand Cayman was selected as the location for next year's event.  After choosing our destination, he then selected the Westin Grand Cayman on beautiful seven mile beach as our hotel!

So, mark your calendars and get to work -- you have ten more months to earn your way to Clubbing 2015 in Grand Cayman!

What a Sight, What A Night!!

Friday night was party night, and what a night it was.  After loading all 158 employees and significant others on buses, we headed to the Cabo San Lucas marina where we boarded the S.S. Supplemental, better known as the 250-person Sunrider 100 -- for a dinner cruise sailing around the coast of Cabo.

Starting from the Marina, we sailed the Sea of Cortez coastline first, working our way around the tip of the peninsula and the breathtaking views of Lands End and the famous Cabo Arch.  From there we crossed over to into the Pacific, working our way up the coast.

With our five-piece band rocking the night, spectacular sights up and down the coast, incredible food and more than a little drink, it was an incredible way to end the day.

Time to Eat?

One thing is for certain at SHC, no one is going to starve at a company celebration!

And that is certainly the case here at Clubbing2014. The food at the Cabo Hilton has been incredible. Doesn't matter if you're talking breakfast on the Black Marlin Terrace, lunch on the Dorado Foyer, or dinner in the grand ballroom, the food just keeps on coming.

Not only are the meals a feast for the appetite, but they're pretty special on the eyes too -- case in point, check out this photo of the set-up for today's lunch.  Gotta go...lunch is served in about an hour!

Excursion day is here!

It's an early start to the day, but the fun doesn't stop at Clubbing. Today's agenda includes trips to either modern and exciting Cabo San Lucas or authentic and local San Jose Del Cabo. Or for those who'd rather be pampered, massages at the spa. Yes, it's a hard life in Cabo.

Awards night at Clubbing2014 was a night to remember.

With more than 140 people in attendance, we celebrated the amazing accomplishments of our 2014 top performers. From the winner's cocktail party and the the awards banquet to the awards ceremony and after-party, it was an amazing evening of honoring our best of 2014!

Getting Ready for the Big Night

The highlight of every clubbing trip is our Awards night when we honor our 100+, President's Club and Chairman's Award winners...and this year is no different.

In fact, as I write this, we are 90 minutes away from our Winner's cocktail Party and two and a half hours away from the banquet.  We thought you'd enjoy a little sneak peak of what our guests will see when they walk into the room tonight.

Cabo in full swing!

If you're wondering, it's another beautiful day in Cabo. Last night's Welcome Dinner was a great chance for old and new friends to meet up. Sitting poolside as the sun set, we all enjoyed a music, merriment and a wonderful meal.

Today's Selfie Scavenger Hunt was a roaring success, so look forward to seeing lots of smiling faces soon. A special shoutout to our winners, the Pugs! 

As we get ready for tonight's Awards Dinner and a celebration of this year's successes, our attendees are living it up Mexico style with a nice ocean breeze.

SHC Lands in Cabo

Clubbing is off to a flying start!  With some travelers rolling out of bed as early as 3:00 a.m., it was a long day that ended perfectly -- on the beaches of Cabo.

In total, 158 employees and significant others are now checked in and taking part in this year's celebration. After giving our attendees the afternoon to relax, unwind and have a little pool time, we ended the day with our traditional Welcome Dinner for all guests.

Set around the infinity pool and looking out over the Sea of Cortez, the group enjoyed a Mexican feast while catching up with old friends and making new ones from across the country.  It was the perfect way to kick-off the 2014 celebration.

Dawn Breaks on Travel Day!

Bags are checked and flights are in the air -- it's official, Clubbing2014 has begun!

As the sun rises over the Sea of Cortez, we have dozens of your colleagues already in the air and headed for four days of sun, sand, and good times.

Guests should start arriving to the hotel -- the spectacular Cabo Hilton --  around 12:45 this afternoon.  Once we get everyone checked-in, we'll kick the festivities off with our first event, our Welcome Dinner.

Last Minute Reminders!

And you thought it would NEVER get here!

But it has!  Tomorrow is travel day for the majority of you and there are a few things we want to make sure you remember.

• Your Passport...you're not going to have any fun if you forget this one
• Your Duty/Entry Registration Card...you'll fill out o form on your flight here and when you go through customs, they will tear off the bottom and give it back to you.  Be sure to keep that, you'll need it when you get to the hotel and when you leave
• Have Your Passport & Entry Card Copied at the Hotel...we need them for every guest, employees and significant others
• Your Travel Emergency Numbers...they're now at the top of the right hand column, have them handy just in case

Ok, that's about it...can't wait for you guys to get here.  It's going to be a blast!

Nobody Likes a Tease, but...

Ok, I know it's a little mean.  But I just can't help it.  You're going ot love it here!  The water's warm, the days are hot and place is perect.  The event team has arrived and set-up starts full-time tomorrow.  By the time you arrive on Wednesday, we'll be ready to rock and roll!

Pack plenty of cool things to wear and don't forget the sunscreen -- Cabo, and Cubbing2014 is just arouund the corner!

Make Travel Day a Great Day

So next Wednesday is travel day for Clubbing2014 -- and for most of us, it is going to be a pretty long day, but following a few easy tips will make your travel day more enjoyable.

First, don't forget, you're traveling internationally and there aren't many flights that go to Cabo each day. Don't be late. Don't miss your flight.

Most airports suggest you arrive 3 hours before your flight for international travel, and most airlines insist that you be checked-in at least 60 - 90 minutes before your international flight. Check with your airline for specific requirements.

Other suggestions to make your day easier: If checking your bag, pack important medications and other small essentials in your carry-on bag in case your luggage gets delayed, you might want to throw in a snack or two also.  Drink plenty of water on the fight to help fight-off jet lag, and pack a good book or deck of cards for entertainment! And keep this in mind, your next stop is Cabo!

Before You Phone Home

Just a final reminder, it doesn't take long to run up a pretty expensive bill using your data plans in a foreign country!  Plan ahead and check with your service provider before you head to Cabo.

If you have a 3G Verizon phone, you will need to dial *228 and choose Option 2 before you leave for Cabo to update your roaming options.  If you have a 4G phone, you don't have to do anything -- your phone updates automatically.

You might also want to consider keeping your phone in Airplane Mode while in Cabo.  That way you totally avoid any surprises.

Finally, you will have complimentary wireless in your guest room, which is definitely the way to go!
