Congratulations to our 2014 President's Club winners!
Meet your 2014 President's Club winners!
Karl Lewis, IT Help Desk
Manager, Corporate, Information Technology
You might say that the Lewis family was expecting big things the day
Karl interviewed for his job here in IT, but it wasn’t the possibility of a new
job that was the primary focus.
“My wife had just had a baby,” according to Karl. “In fact, I excused
myself from her hospital room to go to my car for the phone interview.” Whether
it was his real life experience (this was his fourth child) or his work experience
(16 years of working in IT and banking operations), the interview obviously
went well, as we welcome Karl to Cabo as the 2014 Corporate President’s Club
winner.
Joining Supplemental Health Care in March of 2012 as an IT Analyst, Karl
now serves as the IT Help Desk Manager…and one of those calming voices at the
other end of the line when we are all panicking over our self-induced technology
disasters. Of course, with two twin boys (James and
Nathan) age eight, a six year old daughter (Sarah) and a two-year old son
(Jacob), we’re guessing that Karl and his wife Heather are pretty accustomed to
staying calm when things are a bit crazy around you.
Sarah Compagna, Market Manager,
Boston Allied
It’s been a busy 12 months for Sarah Compagna – from child birth to
President’s Club, it’s been a fiscal year to remember!
Sarah joined Supplemental Health Care in March 2008 as a recruiting
manager. In addition to her time here,
she also spent over four years with Kelly Services and KBW Financial Staffing
and Recruiting.
With a solid staffing background, Sarah has been able to draw from that
experience to lead her team to all-time record highs in revenue. In what was a tough year for allied overall,
Sarah is proof that building a diverse client mix, developing solid
relationships with talent and keeping a positive leadership outlook can still
drive success regardless of market conditions.
Sarah, and her husband Kenneth, are also the proud parents of 9 month
old Alex – a fact that she is constantly reminded of by the stray pieces of
confetti she continues to find in her desk from the baby shower the office
threw just before she left for maternity leave.
Rounding out the family are their two black cats, Teddy and Rosie; proving
that luck obviously has nothing to do with her success!
Rick Majors, Senior Market
Manager, Phoenix Nursing
Rick continues to add to his impressive list of honors. This year, he tacks on another President’s Club
Award to his list of accomplishments…let’s see, if we’re counting correctly
that makes six 100+ Club wins, 2 President’s Club wins and a Chairman’s
Award. Rick, you’re going to need a
bigger bookshelf soon!
As always, though, Rick is quick to point out that he doesn’t do this
alone. As he says, “I am fortunate to be
surrounded by a group of individuals who want to win as badly as I do and who
were committed to being number one in our market.” Rick is also thankful for the opportunities he’s
had here to learn and advance, “None of this would be possible without the
support, encouragement and education I’ve been provided.” As a result, his best advice to new leaders:
learn…learn everything, take chances and hire well.
Unknown by most, Rick is a bit of a reality TV junkie….The Bachelor,
Real Housewives, etc. Of course, with
Rick and his wife Megan (an SHC alum herself) adding son Benjamin (due in
November) to the already busy household that includes daughters Carly Anne (age
13) and Olivia Quinn (age 1.5), Rick should have plenty of reality to keep him busy!
Carrie Huff, Senior Division
Manager, Travel Nursing
“Ask, ask, and ask, and what you put into your business is what you’ll
get out of it,” answered Carrie Huff when asked what advice she would give to a
new hire. After three straight President’s
Club wins, two things are obvious: listening to advice from Carrie would be a
smart move by anyone in the company, and she obviously puts a LOT into her work because she certainly
is getting the most out of it!
An 11-year veteran of Supplemental Health Care (starting in August of
2003), Carrie began her career with us as a recruiting manager, giving her a
first-hand understanding of the hard work and team dynamics that lead to
success. Now, as a senior division
manager, her favorite thing is being able to play an instrumental role in in
the development of her terrific team and watching them hit their potential. It must be working, as Carrie’s team was the
first travel nursing division to hit $200K per week…then became the first team
to hit $300K per week!
Carrie is married to her husband Lou Huff, and they have two daughters:
Lacy, age 11 and Loren, age 10. And,
just to make sure we mention the whole crew, they also have Sam, the dog.
